In this age of technology where artificial intelligence is being used in the field of education and health. Now it started being used in Religious affairs as well.Dubai’s UAE introduces the world’s first virtual fatwa service worldwide.
Under the ‘Smart Dubai’ project of Dubai, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities launches the “Virtual Ifta”. This service will benefit all Muslims of the world, it is not necessary to live in Dubai or have a reputation there for using this service.
This feature has only been introduced on the IACAD website in the initial phase of the Virtual Fatwa service, but will be introduced soon on WhatsApp as well as a separate application for this feature in the future.
“Virtual Ifta” will actually give a fatwa on their problems by answering about 205 questions on common problems of Muslims.
The event, which was held to introduce the service, said that the Virtual Fatwa service provides accurate answers to 85% of the questions, but the results can be better if the questions are presented in simple words or sentences.
This is the first time a fatwa has been introduced in countries with mixed reactions on social media. Some people look complimentary while some people criticize.
