Major General Babar Ifthikar Replaces Major General ASif Ghafoor as DG ISPR or as the new leader of the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) affirmed in an announcement on Thursday.

Maj Gen Ghafoor’s new task will be as the General Officer Commanding Okara.

Maj Gen Iftikhar was appointed in 6 Lancers in March 1990. He is an alumni of the Command and Staff College Quetta, National Defense University Islamabad and Royal Command and Staff College Jordan. The General Officer carries with him a rich order, staff and instructional experience.
