Prime Minister Imran khan is expected to visit Saudi Arabia on Saturday to meet the crown prince Muhammad bin Salman. This visit of the Prime Minister has been planned to ensure the Saudi Royals that Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia despite its engagements with other Islamic countries.Islamabad has received the signals that the Saudi’s are not happy with the Pakistan’s decision to participate in the Kuala Lumpur summit.

Kuala Lumpur summit has been organized by the Malaysia Prime Minister Dr Mahatir Bin Muhammad and is due to held from 18-20 December this year.

During UNGA this year Malaysian Prime Minister, Pakistani Prime Minister and president of turkey grouped up to counter the growing Islam o phobia in the world. This summit is being considered as the brain child of that meeting between these leaders.

Saudi’s have already started considering this initiative to undermine the Jeddah based OIC.

The more reason for Saudi’s to get offended from this initiative is the participation of the Iranian President Hassan Rohani. In the present time Prime Minister Imran Khan has tried to mediate between Iran and Saudi Arabia but it has not been successful.

For Pakistan this Summit is an important platform to highlight the overshadowed issue of Kashmir and to criticize the new citizen amendment bill passed in the New Delhi.
