Then the house committees investigate the accusations, hold public hearings and submit the findings to the house judiciary committee. Then House debates and votes on the article of impeachment. Simple majority is required in the house for impeachment right now the democrats have the majority in the House.
If the majority is obtained then senate holds a trail and votes on the article of impeachment. In senate 2/3 majority is required (67%) to remove the chief executive the President from the office. In case of President Donald Trump House of Representatives has impeached him and it’s expected that the trial in the senate will begin in the January. In senate republicans have the majority.
If President Donald Trump is impeached in the senate then the Vice president Mike Pence will become the President until the elections. If this happens Donald Trump will have to run his campaign for the re-elections with the mark of impeachment.
